Dear Kenwood Customer: Thank you for your e-mail. Quick Start Programming the TH-K2AT 1. Push VFO button 2. Press the ENT/# key now enter desired FREQUENCY via the keypad ( example 146.670 ) 3. Choose an OFFSET, the TH-K2AT has an Automatic Repeater Offset feature, you may also manually override that by pressing the MENU key, turn the main tuning knob to MENU # 6 SFT, now press MENU again now chose the correct offset by turning the main tuning knob to the desired offset ( example OFF, +, or - ) when the correct one is chosen press the MENU key to store it. 4. Using PL/TONE/ENCODE for repeaters, press the MENU key turning the main tuning knob select MENU # 2 now press the MENU key the display will start to flash turn the main tuning knob to TONE, now press MENU key to store it. 5. Selecting a PL/ENCODE/TONE press the MENU key turn the main tuning knob to MENU # 3 it will be flashing now press MENU key again. You may now select your tone by turning the main tuning knob to the desired TONE/PL/ENCODE ( example 127.3 ) to store it press the MENU key again. Now press the PTT to go back to the normal frequency display. 6. Storing all the information above into Memory, please press the F key followed by pressing the MR key the memory number will flash on the right side of the display. Now turn the main tuning knob to the desired memory channel ( example # 5 ). Now store it by pressing the MR key again. 7. To recall that memory press the MR key.
